How much baking soda should I add while making pan cakes?

1-1 1/2 teaspoons on a 1 1/2 cup batch of flour should work well. The batter will rise better if you use buttermilk.

I agree, I tend to avoid baking soda, cause i hate it, and become puke-ish when i smell it in food – dassouki Apr 14 at 1:30
